Baker Park Amenities Building
This new amenities building for Randwick Council has been constructed on a tight, steeply sloping site in a grove of fig trees.
Its soaring butterfly roof responds to the need for solar access on the north and the steep bank on the south.
The new building services the existing tennis courts as well as general park users. It addition to toilets it provides seating and external tea-making facilities. It was delivered on a tight budget of $400,000.
The building was a Finalist in the Public Buildings Category of the Randwick City Council Urban Design Awards 2013
