Our People

Viola Haub, Senior Landscape Architect

Viola portrait b&wViola is our Senior Landscape Architect and has been at Phillips Marler for ten years. Originally from Germany, Viola has wide ranging experience in design projects for parks, play spaces, cycleways and streetscapes. Viola has also developed excellent skills in masterplanning and heritage landscape work. She also has superb 2D and 3D graphics skills.

“What I really enjoy about my job as a landscape architect is the detail. It’s a bit like detective work. You rarely just apply a ‘standard’ design solution. You need to problem solve, and every project is different.”

Georgia McDonald, Graduate Landscape Architect

Georgia portrait b&wGeorgia is our newest recruit, having recently graduated as a landscape architect from the University of NSW. She joined Phillips Marler in June 2015 to undertake her course related work experience, before being employed in early 2016.

In March 2016, Georgia was awarded the Harry Howard Prize in Landscape Architecture by the University of NSW for her “creativity, commitment and diligent approach” during her studies.

“I like the design side of things. I also have a strong interest in the environment and ecology. I think working as a landscape architect gives you a unique opportunity to work in both these areas. Working at a smaller interdisciplinary company like Phillips Marler has enabled me to be engaged in a diverse range of projects straight away.”
