Located in the extensive, newly emergent string of open spaces in western Sydney called Sydney Western Parklands, this specialist birdhide building caters for amateur and professional bird watchers.

It provides a sheltered concealed space for seated observers and space for displays. The new bird hide will be built next to a former farm dam to take advantage of the associated bird life.

This playful building has an egg-like plan and a floating triangulated roof to symbolise the movement of winged flight.

The project is currently in design development and documentation.
